Valentine's Day means getting all dolled up, whether you're single and ready to mingle, in a committed relationship, or changing your Facebook status to "it's complicated." With all of the ladies we have working at KJ, we know just who to ask for beauty advice. So today we're sharing our favorite makeup products of all time so that you can treat yourself to a new look this February!

First and foremost, let's talk foundation. One of the hardest things about makeup for us is finding the right foundation for our skin type.  Our skin changes with the seasons of nature and of life, so there's no single correct answer for what works best for everyone. Because of this, we have several favorites from our ladies in the office with different skin types who have found what works best for them. Let's take a look:

First thing's first. Primer is a must for anyone going for flawless coverage. Fenty Pro Filt-r Instant Retouch Primer is our recent favorite! It erases your pores and preps your face for makeup like none other, while still not weighing you down. If you haven't found a good primer yet, give this one a try!

Our #1 foundation for dry skin is Bobbie Brown Skin Foundation SPF15. It has medium coverage but can easily be built up or sheered out, depending on your preference. We love that it has a bit of color corrector to go over rosy cheeks and red spots, making your skin tone look even. Best of all, it feels perfectly light on your skin and doesn't cause any irritation. The downside - this one is a little pricey, so if you're looking for a similar drugstore item with lower prices, try Maybelline Fit Me Dewy and Smooth Foundation. For both dry and sensitive skin (if you're prone to acne or redness), we're loving Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation. It's light-weight with easy to blend coverage. It lasts all day and leaves your skin feeling healthier! Plus, it has more natural ingredients and you can pick it up at Target, so what’s not to like!?

For combo or oily skin we recommend Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Flawless Coverage Foundation. Now don't run away from this because it says its a hydrating foundation. Believe it not, even oily skin needs hydration. This foundation is a cream that you can easily put onto your face with your hands. It's some of our girls go-to foundation for a simple no-makeup look or when they're in a rush. If you're struggling with acne like some of us (isn't it supposed to go away when you're an adult?!?) this has great coverage while not irritating skin and causing more acne. This with our favorite powder is the perfect duo! 

Last but certainly not least is our favorite setting powder from Cover FX. This works for any skin type and can be used as foundation or over foundation for a finished look. We've found when buying powder products, it really is worth it to spend money on the more luxury items. Cover FX is a favorite because it's extremely fine-milled, so it looks like there's nothing there. It's super light and it sets your face while appearing untraceable. It also lasts forever because you don't have to use it as much, so it's definitely worth the cost. 

Now for our favorite eyeshadow palette. Right now we're loving Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette for classic everyday neutrals. The warm tones are perfect for a natural makeup routine with a hint of sparkle to make your eyes glow. If you're like us and want to get your full use out of every color in your palette so that you don't have to buy a new one every time you get through your favorite shade, this is the perfect option for you.

Finally, we have two favorite eyeliners that we think you'll love! For a pop of color, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil is your new best friend! We love it because it draws on super smooth and really does last forever without wearing off or smearing! That's a MUST for us in the eyeliner department! Urban Decay has so many fun colors that can add to your makeup look! Our current favs are Vice, a gorgeous glittery purple and Lucky, a shimmery copper/brown (currently sold out online, but check for it in stores  🤞🏻).

If you haven't mastered the winged eyeliner look yet we've got good news for you! Last up in our eyeliner lineup is the Katvond Beauty Tattoo Liner. There's no better option for getting a flawless line! Most importantly, it stays on throughout the day like a tattoo without smudging or running. Look no further! Your perfect glam eyeliner is right here!

Time to focus on lush lashes. Here's the trick: you don't need to buy expensive on-brand mascara! Phew! We've found that all of our favorite mascaras are from the drugstore and they work magic! There's really no reason to buy high-end mascara. Yes, it might be good, but there's always been one similar or better for a fourth of the price. The real trick is to mix them. We like to begin with mascaras that give length and then add volume on them with another. Here are a couple of each that we're loving:

For length, try Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black. This is the blackest of black you can get! It pairs well with classic black winged eyeliner and the color lasts throughout the day. We're also loving Essence Volume Stylist for lash extension. For volume, our current favorites are Loreal Lash Paradise and CoverGirl Exhibitionist Mascara. Both add thickness for lush lashes without clumping and crumbling throughout the day. Just remember, go for length first and volume second. You'll have people asking how you get your lashes so perfect!

There's so many different lip products that it can get overwhelming! We've chosen one of each of the different kinds from our list of favorites that we think you'll want to try. First up, we're obsessed with our new Lip + Cheek! Shown above in Creamsicle, we have several color options for a bold, classic, or subtle look. We love this two in one combo for an added shimmer and tint to our every day makeup routine whether you prefer to use it on your lips, cheeks, or both! Once you've tried it you won't want to go back!

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick is one of the top lipsticks this year for a reason! This perfectly nude + pink matte lipstick shade looks stunning on everyone! For an even more defined lip, get the Lip Cheat lip liner and viola! You've got the lips of your dreams!

If you're looking for bolder lips, try Artistry Studio 2-in-1 Matte Lip Crayon. It's super easy to apply and smooth just like we like it! Our favorite color is Ruby Goddess for a naturally darker red lip.

Now getting those lips silky soft is a job of its own! We've got some tips! We can't be the only ones who are dying of dried lips! Living in Utah during the winter definitely makes this a lot worse and we've been searching for the best solution. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a miracle worker! You simply put it on your lips before you go to sleep and wake up to soft and moisturized lips. And don't worry! It doesn't taste funky. They have it in  grapefruit flavor which is the best one yet! For another overnight option, our team members swear by C.O. Bigelow Night Balm from Bath and Body Works. It's a similar overnight mask, with extra moisturizing ingredients. Once you've taken care of the texture of your lips, putting on lipstick and gloss because so much easier!

The last lip product we're sharing is our all-time favorite lip gloss. It's all in the name with this one! Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream Gloss is the ultimate solution for a natural glossy lip. Whether you wear it by itself or over your favorite lipstick, it's sure to add volume to your lips. Our favorite color for a natural lip is Hot Toddy.

We're coming to a close with our last few extras to finish off your makeup routine. If you haven't already invested in Beauty Blenders you are missing out! They perfectly blend primer, foundation, powder, blush, and you name it! These magical tools erase pores with just a few strokes and make your makeup look truly natural. One of the things we've learned from using these is that in order to get the best out of them it helps to dampen them before blending. That way you don't waste any product. Trust us! These are worth the try!

Our next product we've recently tried is a heated eyelash curler. Some of us were a little wary of these at first, thinking they'd damage our lashes, but we've only noticed positive effects! These are usually about $10 and you can just buy them off of Amazon or at any local beauty store. They're so much easier than the clamp eyelash curlers that we're used to AND you don't have to worry about losing any lashes!

Now for the final touch, Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. This is a must must must MUST! It's basically hair spray for the face. It sounds silly, but man it's 100% worth the price! This setting spray really helps you get your money's worth out of all of your products because it makes them last ALL DAY LONG!
