International Women's Day

International Women's Day - Kortni Jeane
Happy International Women’s Day! We will never pass up the opportunity to celebrate women! We live for supporting women and bringing incredible ladies together to uplift and love each other. For the next few days, we’re celebrating through our “Women are ___.” campaign and want to introduce you to some of the amazing women we’ve had the opportunity to work with through this event. And without further ado, we’d like to meet…

Tiffany Pao Higuchi

Age: 29, turning 30 next week!

Occupation: worked as a life coach in the mental health field for 4 years. Now im a full-time model and full-time mom!

Favorite dessert: crème brûlée or a good old gooey chocolate chip cookie. But when I’m in Taiwan, then it’s definitely a fresh mango shave ice.

Dream Vacation: I have too many places I want to visit but my top would be to Greece, New Zealand, or Maldives. Dream vacations would always include some time relaxing but also filled with trying local foods/ delicacies and doing what the locals do!

Proudest achievement: having my daughter and then gaining the courage to turn my dreams of modeling into reality.

Advice for your younger self: do not fear failure. If you have the ability to dream up something, then there is a place for it in the world and you have the ability to make it reality. You simply have to take the first steps and try; then more doors will open as you move forward.

Women that inspire me: all the women in my life; from my family, to my husband’s family. Women really can do it all— from leading their own businesses, all the while rearing and raising children, holding down the fort/ being homemakers, caring for neighbors. Women really do make the world go round!

Proudest achievement: I think my proudest achievement is definitely getting into a University.

Advice for your younger self: Don’t spend thinking too much about the past or in the future. I would also tell myself not to worry too much about the things that are out of my control.

What advice would you give your younger self?

  1. Positive thinking is the engine to success. Leverage the way you perceive yourself and others to foster true belief to help you build the life you want and accomplish goals.

2.Take time investing and fostering relationships. Keep participating in the little acts of kindness. They get you much further than you can imagine.

3.Stop overthinking. Be who you are and love the unique things about you. You are enough. Living a life based on chasing acceptance is no life at all.

Jennica Anusua Galloway

Occupation: full time actor and mental health professional (global mental health/complex trauma)

Favorite Dessert: Queen Emma Cake from Gourmandise, Crème Brûlée

Dream Vacation: I love travel and have been a lot of fun places for my job, I would love to travel anywhere that I can immerse myself in good food, a new culture and language, and dig into the history of the place! Next stop for me - hopefully Korea or Turkey.

What is your proudest achievement? I am so proud of the way I have come back into myself and honored my dreams in the last few years. I spent a long time worrying about whether it was okay to be exactly me and honor what lights my heart on fire, and now I have leaned into exactly who I am and embracing the complex being that is me. I am so proud of that choice and the continued bravery it requires of me.

What advice would you give your younger self? I would remind myself that being exactly who I am is enough, and my dreams and hopes are special and needed. It is okay to be me, and that I have the ability to make a difference in the world and lives of other people. There is a place for you and you matter exactly as you are.

Which women inspire you the most? The women that have inspired me the most are those that have honored and loved themselves even when they felt unsure. My mom is one of my heroes - she has always pursued her dreams and loved deeply. I also find deep inspiration in my relationships with the women around me - I am so incredibly honored to love, witness, uplift and cherish my friends and the way they move through the world. Women truly are everything - they encapsulate the beauty, depth and magic of the universe while also holding the truth of its pain and necessity for growth.
