To celebrate the first day of summer, we're helping you make your summer plans to visit some of the coolest pools around! Here in Utah we don't have sandy beaches and we're far from the ocean, so sometimes the pool is all we've got. It's nice to mix it up with new pools without breaking the bank, especially when you have kids begging to go EVERY day. No worries! We've got a list of our favorite outdoor public pools in Utah that you can add to your summer bucket list!
This one's currently at the top of our list for a reason! We recently did a styled photoshoot here and fell in love! This hidden gem is nestled in the town of Payson, Utah andhas a large lap pool and a huge kids play area with water slides and fountains galore! It's full of color (definitely our kind of pool!) and plenty of things to keep your kids entertained all day. It's also super cheap! It costs less than $5.00 per person and it's half price after 7:00 pm. We had an absolute blast shooting our Stars + Stripes collection suits here and those photos are featured throughout this blog.
North Shore is located in North Ogden and includes a water playground, diving boards, a lazy river, and a water slide. Best of all, it would make the perfect date night with you and your special someone (or the whole family!) to attend one of their "Flick 'n Float" events. The perfect summer night consists of floating in the pool and watching a movie so this sounds like our kind of party!
Lehi's Legacy Center Pool features diving boards, a baby pool and a small climbing wall. The climbing wall is a kid-favorite! It only costs about $5 per person for nonmembers and the facility has discounts for members. Outside of the pool area is a park that's perfect for a mid-day picnic.
This one's a hit! Their beach entry pool turns into a wave pool every fifteen minutes! You can rent tubes there and ride the waves with the fam without spending a fortune going to a fancy water park. It's open year-round because they cover it with a huge inflatable bubble during the winter. In the Summer it's all outdoor sunshine in the waves! Plus, they have a small kiddy pool for the little ones that aren't quite ready for the wild waves.
Of course we have to give a shoutout to our favorite hometown rec center! However, we're not just putting it on the list because it's close by. Provo Rec Center has one of the best outdoor pools in Utah, complete with waterslides and the cutest splash zone you ever did see. One of the most unique features is the ball wave pool, featuring a giant ball making waves to ride for all ages. Daily passes are about $5 but memberships are also available, giving you access to loads of activities in the rec center.
What do you think? Should we share more? We know we're dying to hear where your favorite pools are, whether they're local or somewhere exotic. Comment down below if you have a place we should check out! And most of all, enjoy your summer in your KJ swimmers! We're looking forward to seeing all of your photos using #kortnijeaneswimmers!
My boys and I love the Provo Rec Center in the summer but we will definitely have to try the Payson pool now!
